Toilet Backs up

We are having a continuous problem with our toilet backing up. This is a 5th wheel so we have the bathroom up front and the pipe curves down and angled. Our RV also has a built in flush you connect an outside hose to. We are not newbies so we use the correct paper, and keep our black water shut until we are ready. I've used a snake, hose and even draino. It will clear after fighting it a little. But then you can see it start backing up when you run water down it. I have repeated this ritual numerous times it will still back up. When running a hose down, it seems as if it gets stuck on something then it just frees up. But it will start again. Its a 2007 and still under warranty and I have written Gulf Stream but got no answer. We are seasonal, so we are waiting to pull out in a few weeks. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Rick

RE: slideout ?

I prefer in, but we do have it out when we get home to clean it. But otherwise in. I don't think it really matters technically it's just a matter of choice. Rick

RE: Selling TT and going to Jayco 5th Wheel - ?? need help.

We went from a TT to 5th wheel last year and I could not be happier. It is much easier to pull and you don't have all that bounce and sway you do with a TT. We can setup in minutes. Most compartments are on the sides and pretty easy to get to. Our TT only had a few compartments and they were under the dinette bench and couch, not much bending here that I am aware of, I guess it depends on the 5th wheel unit you get. You will need to make sure your truck can pull it, but its a great way to go. Good Luck! Rick

RE: KOA Fayetville/Wade NC

NCH, Actually I do not eat at McDonalds. But There are KOA's here in NY as well, although I have never camped at one, we visited one just to get an idea and they were rude to us as well. Not to say KOA is holding the torch for rudness I have been to others that were equally as rude. So please stay at all the KOA's and eat at every McDonalds you wish. I voiced my opinion as did you. Happy Camping. Rick

KOA Fayetville/Wade NC

I have to say I have never stayed at a KOA and after I got a call from mys sister I will never stay at a KOA and will do all I can to get others to do the same. My sister and her husband booked at this KOA in Wade, NC and got a late start, getting in around 12:30 PM very late an tired. They have a very nice pop-up so this is no rag tag thing. So they had to setup purely in the dark and did it as neatly as possible. They only left a few totes out under one bed end and a small circular dog pin. They slept in pretty late and when the got up and went out to finish setting up they were greeted by an employee to tell them "cleanup" their site it looked shabby. Well my brother-in-law was taken back. They felt it was not bad, not quite in order but understandably not packed away. At this point the manager came over and said they felt the site was cluttered and did not spaek well for KOA. They packed up and left. I am sure we all have pulled in late and not fully setup, etc.. I am appauled they were "in my mind" forced out because they had a pop-up. Make up your own mind but I will never go to a KOA.... Rick

Antenna Help

I am in need of some help here. We just went seasonal up in the Adorondack mountains in NY state and they do not have cable. We were hoping to get at least antenna reception, but I turned out little ceiling knob enough to tire my arm and nothing. Now we have a digital TV and severy so often we get a fuzzy picture, then poof! From what I have read on digital its all or nothing. Now I do have the standard outside amplified antenna that comes on most RV's. Is there another amplifier I can get to boost the signal? We are in the trees so I don't think Satelite will work, I do not have a good line of site. Any help would be great, thanks. Rick

RE: Northeast Spring Rally 2008 May 30 to June 1, Deer Run

Yeah Mike, your right, lets keep it simple I am a bit rusty myself. We can do Louie, Louie, that's like 3 chords!! LOL! I honestly have not heard the mini stack. I here they are really nice, I guess I'll have to drag my but down and try one out, if it sounds good, I ask Santa for one.. hehehe. We can stick to some classic Rock. Led Zepplin Deep Purple Grand Funk (my Fav) Sabbath Molly Hatchet (for them Country Folk) Lynyrd Skynrd Kiss (of course) Bad Company Judas Priest Iron Maiden (YUP!) Let's get a list of our favs and break it down to a few good numbers. It will be a blast. OR!!! We can do a mini KISS show, with makeup!!! LOL!!

RE: Northeast Spring Rally 2008 May 30 to June 1, Deer Run

Rick, think we should be a small song list together... had the guitar cranked the other night.. think I need a new distortion pedal... the one I have is over 10 years old.... I have a DOD G6R mini-amp that has a built in Destortion channel plus reverb. Its' pretty cool. Not a bad lil amp. Let's get a list for sure so we can play. It would be awsome. I'm game for about anything from classic rock to metal.. Rick

RE: Northeast Spring Rally 2008 May 30 to June 1, Deer Run

That would be Eric Johnson. Great tune, he was a Satriani student. Planning on bringing my guitar and amp to the rally, lets pic some tunes we can play... Maybe some Kiss, Zep, Maiden! I'm game... Rick
